George Halfkenny's Bio
George Halfkenny is a seasoned Information Technologist who grew up in the Canadian Child Welfare system. After 10 years in the Alberta Child Welfare System, George aged out of the system and went on to pursue an Undergraduates Degree in Computer Information Systems. She has first-hand insight into how the Menzie’s 5 developmental requirements empowered her success at a young age and is a core tenant of her involvement in our cause.
During her youth, George served as Executive Director and Youth Advocate at Alberta Youth In Care and Custody Network, a non-profit organization that advocates and supports Youth, aged 14 – 24, in or from foster care/young offender systems. After leaving that role, George attended post-secondary and also served as a Alberta Region 4 Board Member for the Redesign and Implementation of a new community-based delivery system designed to improve services to children.

George Halfkenny has a BSc. in Computer Information Systems from DeVry Institute of Technology. George finds joy participating in technology-based volunteer opportunities that empower marginalized populations a leg-up on the road to success.
George Halfkenny has dedicated her adult life delivering software innovation for MegaCorps (Government, Banks, Telecommunications), Named as one of the “Most Innovative Contributors” by her peers at JPMorgan Chase, George is seen as a results-focused thinker, who thinks with the end in mind and is eager to improve inefficient and error-prone activities.
She resides in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico with her beloved fur-baby Bougee Bella.
